I guess I'll lay out my plan, the ground rules I suppose you could say. My goal in this is to stop looking at all the things I see here and there and apply myself to something new. I love to cook, craft and create but usually I stay within my comfort zone. That can lead to a TON of repetition. Pretty mundane and not what I'd like to be accomplishing. So my goal is one self made project a day for the next year. Be it food, craft, or design I have to expand my creative horizons. I'm debating if I want to implement the no repeats rule. I guess that will depend on how it turns out the first time won't it?
1 1/2 cups Frozen limeade concentrate or fresh squeezed lime juice
(Ya right like I wanna spend that much money on fresh limes in Hawaii)
2 1/2 cups Ginger ale
1/2 cup Water
1/2 cup Sugar
3/4 cup Strawberries, fresh or frozen sliced
Lime for garnish
First, get your water on the stove to boil.
So day one it is. I was pretty surprised at how difficult it was to start this thing up the way I had envisioned. I guess if I so desired this blog could be considered my first day's creation but it's too early to be "cheating" already lol. So onto today's concoction. I have been eyeballing limeade concentrate that Billy purchased for some margarita drink a while ago. It never was used and 8 cans of it are sitting in the back of my tiny freezer. Maybe one day I will show you how tiny that thing is. The only thing smaller is one of those mini-fridge's that only have an icebox. I'm thankful that I have what I have, but the point is those cans have got to go. With the inspirational thought of more room to fit ice or something useful I decided to make a drink recipe.
MEG'S LIMEADE with STRAWBERRIES
To start off you're going to need the following ingredients.
To start off you're going to need the following ingredients.

1/2 cup Sugar
3/4 cup Strawberries, fresh or frozen sliced

First, get your water on the stove to boil.
In the mean time stir together your limeade and ginger ale.
After your water is boiling stir in your sugar to make a simple syrup. Let it thicken a bit and pour it into the pitcher of juice and ginger ale.
Then smush (I don't know how else to describe it!) your strawberries up.
Add some sugar to the rim of your glass if you'd like.
Add some ice and 2 spoonfuls of strawberries. Garnish with a lime if desired.
And Voila you have MEG'S LIMEADE with STRAWBERRIES. YUM.
This is all I've drank today (partially because I know Billy won't even touch the stuff & I can stand to see it go to waste) Speaking of Billy, please ignore the wrong date on the pictures. He set it and I can't figure out how to change the darn thing. Well I am off to enjoy the rest of my night.
Until tomorrow,
Meg
